We Are Site Managers International Symposium is a Site Managers initiative with the aim to promote the understanding of the functions, responsibilities, challenges, and needs of Site Managers, to international organizations, state parties, and the larger heritage-related communities. The inaugural edition of the Symposium was successfully conducted in George Town, Malaysia from 1 to 5 March 2024. The second edition of the Symposium will be held in Sawahlunto, Indonesia from 23 to 28 August 2025. The symposium organizer invites leading Site Managers from various countries to discuss, debate, and share their experiences in managing World Heritage properties.
